Laurie Moran is the lead character and she’s a television producer of Under Suspicion. This is the fifth book in the series. Her television show tries to solve cold cases with the participation of family and friends of the victims. So far the show has a perfect track record at solving cases.
A celebrity doctor was murdered and his wife is the #1 suspect. They haven’t been able to prove she killed her husband but his parents (total Manhattan socialites) make it well know they believe their daughter in law to have killed their son. Lots of plot twists in this story...We hear from senators, judges and former patients of the doctor. Everyone’s a suspect and everyone has something to hide.
Laurie gets helping solving these crimes from her federal judge fiancé Alex, former NYPD police commissioner dad, and her tv assistants, Grace and Jerry.
This book was fun and entertaining from beginning to end. I highly recommend this easy read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series! I would love for them to start making her books into movies again!
Have you read any Mary Higgins Clark books?
